The 9th London Affiliate Conference (LAC) will take place between January 31 and February 3. Last year, the event attracted more than 100 exhibitors and sponsors and more than 3,000 attendees. Due to the great interest it excited, organizers decided to move it to a new, more spacious venue. This year the conference will be held at the Olympia National on Hammersmith Road.
All those who are in any way involved or interested in iGaming will be able to attend various panels and presentations with top experts from the industry. Chris Morton, owner of Binary Options Pty Ltd., Lloyd Cooke, Head of SEO at Latitude Digital Marketing, Michael Caselli, Editor-in-Chief of iGaming Business, are only few of the speakers that will talk in front of the attendees and will present them with information about new products and solutions as well as with their viewpoints on the future of this constantly developing business.
One of the most exciting events that the LAC will feature is the 8th Annual iGB Affiliate Awards. The ceremony will be held on February 1 at the stadium of Chelsea FC – Stamford Bridge in London. Its main purpose is for people from the iGaming community to be able to celebrate their achievements throughout the year.
It was announced that this year’s iGB Affiliate Awards have been enhanced in ways that will make it easier for people to provide themselves with information about the nominees and their amazing work during the past one year as well as for those who were interested in entering the competition to do this. It is important to note that the judging process will be monitored closely and the winners will be selected by excellent industry experts.
Speaking of the judging process, here are the five stages it includes. Up until November 19, 2014, people working in the iGaming industry were given the opportunity to submit their entry to the iGB Affiliate Awards. Special voting for the entrants took place between November 24 and December 15. The top ten from each category were shortlisted and announced on December 18.
Between December 18 and January 5, the shortlisted entrants had to submit a special form answering questions such as why they believe they meet the criteria needed. These forms were sent to the judges that were given the difficult task to choose the best of all. A special judging panel will be held between January 9 and January 19 so as for the winners to be determined.
Awards will be given in six categories. The Best Affiliate and the Best Affiliate Programme have seven subcategories – Poker, Casino, Sports, Bingo, Financial, Mobile, and Overall. The Best Affiliate Manager category has six subcategories – Poker, Casino, Sports, Bingo, Financial, Overall. The Best Newcomer category has two subcategories – Affiliate Programme and Affiliate. And The Best Payment System and The Lou Fabiano Award for the Best iGaming Community are the last two categories.
Returning to the ceremony itself, this year, too, the tradition will be kept and the black tie event will be held at a first-class venue. Famous comedian Tom Stade will once again host the ceremony and will entertain the audience with his “drunken Canadian” accent.
The 2015 iGB Affiliate Awards’ attendees will be given the opportunity to socialize with and congratulate the big winners at a special after party. What is more, the event will have a new special theme but so far, no further details were revealed by the organizers.
