Genesis Casino Player Hits €3.2 Million Jackpot on Mega Moolah

News

A Genesis Casino player from the UK has cashed in on a big jackpot while playing Microgaming’s hit Mega Moolah progressive slot.

The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, hit a whopping €3,252,353.70 (£2,772,916.45) on November 8 after placing a €7.25 (£6.26) stake. As mentioned above, they played with Genesis Casino, one of the many major online casino brands to be offering Mega Moolah and other popular titles that are part of Microgaming’s award-winning progressive jackpot network.

As with all big wins on the network, that one will too be awarded to its winner as a lump sum and not in annuities.

Genesis Casino is managed by Malta-headquartered online gambling operator Genesis Global Ltd. The brand operates under licenses from the Malta Gaming Authority, issued in 2016, and the UK Gambling Commission. While relatively young, the operation has quickly gained momentum in the highly competitive iGaming industry.

Commenting on the latest seven-figure jackpot hit by a player on Mega Moolah, Microgaming Chief Operating Officer Andrew Clucas extended their congratulations to the Genesis Casino team and the lucky winner and noted that the November win further cemented Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network as an industry leader.

Genesis Casino CEO Ariel Reem said that they are ecstatic for their player and are looking forward to seeing many more winners on their platform.

Microgaming Awards More than €121 Million in Progressive Jackpots in 2019

The Genesis Casino player was the 10 winner of a seven- or eight-figure jackpot on the Microgaming progressive jackpot network this year. So far in 2019, the network has paid out more than €121 million across more than 1.7 million jackpots.

The seven- and eight-figure wins accounted for more than €50 million of all winnings distributed to players this year, Microgaming has also revealed. And well over 570 players were awarded winnings of €10,000 or more this year.

The Genesis Casino win came right on time for Mega Moolah’s 13th anniversary. The popular progressive jackpot slot was rolled out in November 2006 and has taken the global gambling industry by storm since then.

In 2015, Mega Moolah earned Microgaming the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the ‘Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’. That win amounted to €17.8 million and was awarded to UK player Jon Heywood.

Last October, a Grand Mondial Casino player beat that record by hitting a €18.9 million jackpot on Mega Moolah after placing a 75 cent bet.

It is also interesting to note that Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network, which is one of the largest in the industry, if not the largest one, has so far paid out more than €1.1 billion in jackpot winnings.
