The first thing you need to know is how to place a passline bet. A bet is placed on the passline just before a shooter throws the dice. If 7 or 11 is rolled, that means that you win. If, however, 2, 3, or 12 is rolled, you lose. If any other number is rolled, it automatically becomes a point number and the shooter needs to roll it once again before 7 appears on the table.
