On Wednesday, December 15th, 2021 the goal – tender for Eintracht Frankfurt, Kevin Trapp, makes 2 great saves late in the match versus the Borussia Mönchengladbach football club in order to secure the win. Gladbach continues to slump as they have now lost their 4th – consecutive Bundesliga League match after losing to Frankfurt on Wednesday.
Trapp made 2 – outstanding saves against shots from both Matthias Ginter as well as Patrick Herrmann late in the game helping Eintracht Frankfurt to cement their 3 to 2 victory following a strong effort by Gladbach to secure an equalizing goal versus Frankfurt’s 10 – man front. Eintracht Frankfurt now moves up to the 7th – place spot in the Bundesliga League standings.
Borussia Mönchengladbach was attempting to turn things around against Eintracht Frankfurt following 3 – very bad consecutive losses in the Bundesliga League. Gladbach lost to Cologne in the Rhine derby with a final score of 4 to 1, Gladbach endured a devastating defeat at home from Freiburg with a final tally of 6 to 0, and they also lost another contest over this time span 4 – 1 at Leipzig.
It was evident that Borussia Mönchengladbach and their head coach Adi Hütter were feeling the strong pressure to win even after Florian Neuhaus scored a goal during their first opportunity of the match vs. Hütter’s former team, Frankfurt, in the 6th – minute of match play on Wednesday.
Rafael Borré scored an equalizer versus the run of play during the 45th – minute as he was set up on a counter – attack by Sebastian Rode, who sent a pass to Jesper Lindström on his way down to the turf and then he sent a beautiful cross over to the unmarked Borré for the easy goal.
Lindström followed that up by taking advantage of more sloppy defense by Gladbach as he scored the 3rd – goal of the match to push the score to 2 to 1 in favor of Frankfurt during the 50th – minute of the game. Just 4 – minutes later, Ramy Bensebaini scored a much – needed equalizing goal for Borussia Mönchengladbach from the penalty spot.
Daichi Kamada scored the 5th and final goal of the match leading Eintracht Frankfurt to the 3 to 2 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach on Wednesday as Gladbach’s defensive effort was fairly poor throughout this football contest.
Frankfurt was eventually reduced to 10 men after the Brazilian defender, Tuta, was sent off with his 2nd – yellow card during the 70th – minute of the game, but Trapp made 2 – phenomenal saves to secure the win for Eintracht Frankfurt.
