Glazier says that the most fascinating thing about card games is the opportunity to manipulate and trick the opponents but during her youth she did not suppose her hobby could turn into her lifetime profession.
The prominent poker star entered the industry after many years of working in different niches. She even used to be a teacher although she never considered teaching to be suitable for her.
Actually, Glazier became involved in the game of poker by chance. Her husband and his friends used to play poker every now and then. Glazier found it really gripping and started learning strategies for Texas Hold`em.
Gradually, she realized that participating in poker games is exactly what she wanted to do. Glazier quit her job in order to dedicate all her time and efforts to improving her skills and strategy.
She admits that she has a long way to go before becoming really good at poker but her accomplishments in a game, dominated by men, are impressive.
During the World Series of Poker in 2012, she became a runner-up and added $459,000 to her bank account. One year later, at the World Series Main Event, Glazier put her skills into practice and made the media describe her as the “last woman standing” in such a prestigious but though tournament. She became the champion at the 2013 WSOPE Ladies Event as well.
Although she succeeded in earning a decent sum of money to via playing poker, she says that money is not the main reason that keeps her motivated to participate in poker tournaments. It is all about excitement and having the chance to go to places that have always been attractive tourist destinations.
Currently, Glazier is among the participants of Crown Casino’s Aussie Millions where she made it to the Main Event. During the tournament, she will have the chance to play against tough opponents who have already left their names in the contemporary poker game by applying impeccable strategies.
