Two of the world’s most prominent sports players of all times – the tennis star Rafael Nadal and the footballer Ronaldo will be opponents in a live poker match that will take place on November 6th. The event has become widely popular as “The Duel”. Nadal was challenged by Ronaldo and the match will be broadcasted from London in real time. It is expected to attract significant audience but the two legendary sportsmen have actually met each other in a professional poker match before.
Almost an year ago Nadal took part in the European Poker Tour Prague Charity Challenge where he defeated Ronaldo as well as another group of four experienced and talented poker players.
Actually, Nadal’s victory, which made the donation of €100,000 for charity possible, has made him even more popular than another poker star, Daniel Negreanu.
Nadal shared that he was really impatient to play against Ronaldo once again and he considers the skills, he has acquired, to help him defeat his opponent while enjoying the poker game and learning new tricks and techniques that guarantee his winning.

The rules were the following: Nadal was supposed to play for an hour, a hand won was equal to one point. Every time he didn’t succeed in winning a hand, “The World” got the point. Every point was equal to $100. The more hands Nadal had won, the higher the chances for making a donation to a charitable organisation were.
It seems like yesterday was a good day for Rafael Nadal who can take pride in winning an overwhelming victory against “The World”. As agreed, the PokerStars’ authorities donated the amount of $5,000 to CARE International.
When asked to comment on the upcoming match at the beginning of November, Ronaldo said that he has been working on his strategy and despite the fact that the previous match was exciting and enjoyable, this time things will be slightly different because now Nadal will have to face up to a more skillful and prepared opponent.
The match is said to be the revenge Ronaldo has been looking for since last December when Nadal defeated him during the match that took place in Czech Republic.
