In a special statement, released yesterday, the Union Gaming Research Macau Ltd. announced that part of the refurbished VIP gaming area of Wynn Macau is available to players.
Union Gaming analysts also added that Guangdong Group, founded by Neptune Group Ltd, is believed to be the second biggest VIP operator in Macau. It is to provide its products and services at Wynn Macau.
As for the other VIP operator, considered to be the largest in Macau, it will utilize the west wing of the refurbished VIP area. According to the statement, Suncity Group will take the space no later than the end of the week.
Prominent market analysts commented on the matter and said that the presence of the two largest operators at Wynn Macau will definitely be beneficial. Guangdong used to provide its services on the premises but Suncity has never been available at Wynn Macau and now, it is expected to bring back online more than 40 gaming tables, which were not active during the previous year.
Analysts went on to say that according to them, Wynn Macau remains a thriving venue and its accomplishments have always exceeded their expectations.
The Suncity VIP and the Guangdong are the indisputable leaders on the Macau gambling market and therefore, Wynn Macau should be expected to become the company with increased shares not only in the VIP sector but also in the mass market.
The year 2015 is considered to be critical for the further development of Wynn Macau and the consolidation of its positions on the market.
During a meeting, held at the beginning of February, Wynn Resorts Ltd, which is the parent company of Wynn Macau, announced its earnings for Q4 of 2014 and said that the number of VIP tables during the period in question has decreased to reach 244. By comparison, they were 273 a year ago. Macau officials, however, attributed the decrease to the massive renovation of the casino floor.
Not long ago, Steve Wynn announced that his company was going to part ways with the junket operators, which failed to meet their requirements.
Wynn also added that Wynn Macau needs to work in collaboration with proven operators capable of providing players with the best gambling experience. It is also worthy of mentioning that Wynn Macau is to work with operators that are conservative towards issuing a credit.
