It seems like Playtech officials have not abandoned their plans for making the company a thriving one. Playtech’s iPoker network has recently introduced a widened variety of products compatible with mobile devices.
Executives’ aim is providing players with utmost gaming experience regardless of the platform they use. In addition, they want to make their platforms attractive to new players who would willingly create an account.
Joerg Nottebaum, the head of iPoker was reached for a comment and he did not hide his enthusiasm about the launch of the new apps. Mr. Nottebaum shared that the new gaming options have already been launched on several markets and now, the next step is making the new apps compatible with the other dot.com licensees.
In addition, Nottebaum said that Playtech developers put a lot of efforts in making the gaming experience of every player an excellent one regardless of the mobile device used. He also expressed his hopes to have the new apps accepted by all licensees since the mobile gaming sector plays a critical role in the development of every platform and the new players’ acquisition.
Mr. Nottebaum also commented on mobile poker and reluctantly admitted that its development has been neglected recently and developers seemed to be more focused on introducing casino and sports betting activities. The last two are believed to generate higher revenues.
He supported his standpoint with the following example: “A player who plays multiple tables on his PC automatically generates more revenue than someone playing one table on their smartphone for five minutes”.
He also added that in order to make the game of poker more accessible to players and attract new players as well, availability of mobile poker games is essential.
The announcement about the launch of the new mobile options came shortly after iPoker introduced a new rake allocation method related to its dot.it and dot.com domains.
Last week, the CEO of Playtech revealed details about the future acquisitions and planned ventures of the gaming software development company. Mr. Mor Weizer shared that the upcoming months are critically important to Playtech as a number of profitable deals are to be signed and the company will enter more markets.
As mentioned above, the company keeps consolidating its positions on the gaming market on a global scale. Playtech can also take pride in generating excellent revenues for the last year and company’s officials firmly stated that the best was yet to come.
