Although the figures are yet to be subjected to one final audit, it seems that ICE 2015 was seen by 25,386 unique visitors, an 8% growth as compared to the figures posted back in 2014. What is more, this year’s conference marked a sixth consecutive year of rise in the number of attendees. This makes ICE Totally Gaming the largest and most popular business-to-business event of its kind.
Kate Chambers, portfolio director of Clarion Events Ltd., the company that organized ICE Totally Gaming, shared that she considered this year’s conference the best one she had ever been involved in during her long career in the sector. Ms Chambers pointed out that only the first day of the event attracted about 18,000 visitors. She also said that ICE proved to be the best showcase for all segments of the international gaming industry.
NOVOMATIC, one of the original exhibitors during the first ICE Totally Gaming event, which was held back in 1994, was also extremely enthusiastic about what could be defined as international gaming’s most important time of the year. David Orrick, director at NOVOMATIC’s parent company Austrian Gaming Industries, pointed out that the quality of this year’s visitors was more than excellent. He also shared that his team was extremely happy with the interactions it had throughout the event.
ICE Totally Gaming 2015 featured a special event, intended only for start-ups. The so-called Pitch ICE competition gave new companies the opportunity to present their ideas and products and, thus, attract the attention of investors and already established companies.
Chris North, chief executive officer of GamCrowd, one of the start-ups that took part in the competition, said that they had received some positive feedback from attendees. He also pointed out that ICE is exactly what the gambling industry needs – a platform for entrepreneurs to address visitors and introduce them to their product offering.
ICE Totally Gaming received accolades from media outlets, as well. This year’s event was called the best one yet. What is more, reporters pointed out that it was an excellent means for industry experts to exchange ideas, find their new business partner, or simply have fun with peers.
The next ICE Totally Gaming conference is to be held from February 2 to February 4, 2016 at the ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Centre.
