The full year profit of the company for 2014 was impressive as it increased by 46% YOY. However, Mr. Eriksson remained tight-lipped as to whether the company officials have settled down around a decision concerning the gambling markets NetEnt was going to enter.
Nevertheless, the CEO of NetEnt was quoted saying: “We have all the Asian markets that are laying there and waiting for us and where we see our competitors are doing a lot”.
Mr. Eriksson made another important announcement, though. He said that NetEnt is willing to enter the Mexican and North American gambling markets as soon as the gambling activities in the region are legalized.
Yet, the situation with the targeted South American countries is a bit more complicated since the gambling sector is still largely untapped. Yet, in a long-term perspective, NetEnt will become a competitive supplier of gaming products on a global scale.
For the time being, the supplier is waiting for the US gambling regulators’ approval in order to become available in New Jersey. NetEnt is to go live in the second half of the year.
Mr. Eriksson assured the media that communities will be kept informed about any significant acquisition or events related to NetEnt. For now, it is known that a major contract has been signed with the Rational Group.
Pretty soon, the supplier is expected to become available in Spain since the online slots have been legalized. The presence of NetEnt in Spain is considered an excellent opportunity for boosting its revenues.
Apart from that, the gaming content developer is reviewing the possibility of increasing the number of mid-sized partners and maintaining a stable relationship with its current customers.
NetEnt’s CEO said that there is a great number of prominent operators that need to be attracted and to work in collaboration with the supplier.
NetEnt has all chances of becoming a major supplier on the UK gambling market as well. In spite of being too saturated, there is a huge potential for the UK gambling segment to grow.
Meanwhile, it became clear that Italy is another European country where NetEnt’s services will be available. Entering the gambling markets of Norway and Sweden is also among the top priorities of Mr. Eriksson and his team.
