The past two months have been pretty action-packed for the world of online poker. For instance, last week, Pot-Limit Omaha specialist Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies became the first player who has won over $1 million in online poker rooms for 2015. And quite surprisingly, poker legend Phil “Polarizing” Ivey topped the list of those who have lost most.
And here is the list itself – the four players who lost the most substantial amounts of money during the first two months of 2015, after spending hours in online poker rooms:
1. Phil “Polarizing” Ivey
It was last week when Phil Ivey lost the total amount of $614,348. Roughly speaking, he played 3,200 hands across a total of 16 sessions over the week between February 11-18. The player has lost the total amount of $782,201 on Full Tilt since the beginning of 2015.
Last year, Ivey lost $2.3 million. However, he is still considered to be one of the most profitable online players with over $19 million won before Black Friday in 2011, when Full Tilt and PokerStars were forced to stop offering real money games to their US-based customers.
2. Viktor “Isildur1” Blom
The Swede was last week’s second highest profiting online player with $231,934 in a total of 2,229 hands over 26 PokerStars sessions. This, however, could not help him escape the second position in the list of the biggest losers for the first two months of 2015. So far, Isildur1 has lost the total amount of $404,391.
3. Patriktortonius
Patriktortonius lost the total sum of $267,015 in 1,267 hands across 7 sessions over the week between February 11-18. His previous losses amount to $50,259. With that said, his losses for the first two months of 2015 total $317,274.
4. Sanlker
Sanlker has lost the sum of $299,257 so far, which makes the player the fourth least profitable one for the first two months of the year.
Although some online poker players have lost substantial amounts of money, the past two months have been quite fortunate for others. Here are the four most profitable ones for the afore-mentioned period:
1. Ilari “Ilari FIN” Sahamies
Ilari FIN has won the total amount of $1,009,801 so far. Currently, the player is the only one whose winnings from online poker rooms amount to over $1 million. He won $220,505 over the period between February 11-18. Back on January 31, he won $145,500 at PokerStars $100/$200 Pot-Limit Omaha tables. On January 14, he secured $158,500 at PokerStars $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha tables. The list of his winnings over the past two moths goes on and on.
2. JayP-AA
JayP-AA’s total winnings for 2015 amount to $799,231. The player tops the list of the most profitable over the week between February 11-18 with $319,875 won in 3,755 hands across 47 sessions.
3. Elior “Crazy Elior” Sion
Crazy Elior has won $349,390 so far. The most substantial amount he has scored for the first two months of 2015 amounts to $231,200 after he spent over ten hours at PokerStars $400/$800 8-Game tables on January 22.
4. Scott “gunning4you” Seiver
Gunning4you is listed as the fourth most profitable player for the past two months with a total of $244,368 in online winnings up until February 18.
