Net Entertainment (NetEnt) has recently announced that it is working on a sequel of its South Park slot game, after the first video slot reached great success since its release one year ago.
The official release date is not yet determined, but it is most likely going to be sometime in late October 2014.
The NetEnt company is aspiring to become the best software provider globally by constantly launching new high quality video slots and other gambling-oriented products and services. Some of the more noticeable products of the company are The Wish Master and Mega Fortune Dreams.
Now, the company is looking towards a wider scope of target groups with the South Park Reel Chaos video slot.
In its statement, the company explained that the slot machine will be available at a variety of online casinos such as Mr. Green Casino, which has all the palette of NetEnt video slots. Current competitors of NetEnt are software developers IGT, NextGen Gaming as well as Microgaming.
The Origins of the Game and Its New Features
The video game slot has been realized through the partnership between Net Entertainment and South Park™ Studios. South Park is a world famous sitcom TV show – an animated adult series, which was first released in 1997.
From then on, the show has become a successful franchise, having a variety of clothing, accessories and video games created for the fans. The show was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and was broadcast on Comedy Central TV network. A total of 248 episodes of the show were released throughout its eighteen seasons.
After the success of the first South Park video slot, NetEnt is happy to release the sequel. As a NetEnt representative said: ‘our friends from South Park are back and this time as superheroes! NetEnt, together with South Park Studios, proudly presents the video slot sequel South Park: Reel Chaos!’
As the show is about four kids, who get all sorts of funny ideas, the video slot is designed around a similar idea. The main characters are Stan Marsh, Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick, that are all given special nicknames in the game.
The four characters have the goal to defend their hometown and fight against the main boss – Prof. Chaos. While playing the game, players can use some new features, in order to manage passing through the various obstacles. Those features include ‘Multipliers’ and ‘Stacked Wilds’.
The video slot has 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 lines. The main symbols are the four main characters from the so called ‘Coon and Friends organization’ and are named Coon, Mysterion, Human Kite and Toolshed. Other symbols which may appear on the slot machine are Wild, Butters Stotch and a bonus one named Mint-Berry Crunch.
A list of card symbols (from 10 to Ace) are used to complete the rest of the lines.
