An agreement between the World Poker Tour officials and the popular Amsterdam-based Holland Casino was signed mere days ago. According to the clauses the agreement contains, WPT and Holland Casino will work in collaboration for the next four years.
The annual WPT Main Tour as well as the WPT National event will be held on annual basis in the Netherlands until 2019 when the partnership agreement expires.
The first event that is supposed to take place under the new agreement is the WPT Amsterdam, starting on May 11th. The buy-in amounts to €3,300.
The last day of September will be marked by the return of the WPT to Holland. September 30th is the day when WPT National Valkenburg is scheduled to kick off.
Actually, May is expected to be pretty eventful when it comes to major poker tournaments. The PokerStars and Monte-Carlo Casino European Poker Tour Grand Final ends on May 8th, the WPT Amsterdam comes next and the 2015 Spring Championship of Online Poker is scheduled to take place in the period May 10-24.

He also added that the main priority of WPT executives for the next four years is working with the best poker professionals.
The CEO of Holland Casino, Willem-Jan van den Dijssel, also commented on the agreement and said that Holland Casino officials are pleased with the decision of WPT to chose the venue for the poker events and put emphasis on the fact that this is the first time when Holland will play host to the prestigious events and every detail has to be well-thought-out. In conclusion, he said that the partnership between Holland Casino and WPT will definitely take the game of poker to new heights.
