Genesis Gaming Obtains UK Remote Gambling Software License

News

A representative of the popular developer of hardware and software casino solutions, Genesis Gaming, announced that the company has obtained a Remote Gambling Software License, which, therefore, makes the availability of its products on the gambling market of the United Kingdom possible. The Gambling Commission approved of Genesis Gaming’s request after investigating company’s business affairs.

Genesis Gaming is a developer responsible for the launch of a great number of games compatible with mobile devices. It also provides online games and supplies various digital platforms with real-money and social games.

Anyway, it became clear that Genesis Gaming is given the green light to providing slot content within the United Kingdom as its activities are fully compatible with the requirements included in the Gambling Act that came into effect in the second half of 2014.

According to Genesis officials, the acquired license is a major step forward and it will definitely help them remain competitive and consolidate their positions on the soon-to-be saturated UK gambling market. The previous year has been quite successful and now, the company has the challenging mission of building on last year’s accomplishments.

James Watson, Genesis Director responsible for company’s sales in Europe, commented on the just-acquired license and said that he and his team were glad to know that they will continue providing their products and services to UK-based operators and did not forget to put emphasis on the fact that the UK market is really important to the company as it gives the opportunity for signing profitable agreements and provides room for further growth.

Meanwhile, it became clear that the services of several software suppliers might be suspended due to the deadline set by the UK Gambling Commission. They were supposed to apply for a software license renewal no later than December 31st but statistics shows that at least 30 providers of software products missed the aforementioned deadline and submitted the necessary paperwork in January or February, which means that they will most probably be prohibited from providing their services as from March 31st.

Those operators that have missed the deadline risk to have their activities suspended while the Commission reviews their applications. A representative of the UK regulator ensured that the applications will be reviewed as soon as possible so customers are caused minimum inconveniences and the issues related to the license breach are promptly solved.
