work1During the last episode of the Run It Up show, poker pro Jason Somerville has confirmed that he no longer has business relationship with Ultimate Poker. He is one of the professional poker players who have ceased working with Ultimate Poker during the last few months.

The news of Somerville and Ultimate Poker discontinuing contract was first announced by the F5Poker, which reported that the two parties are to engulf in a lawsuit. The news was confirmed on the Sunday broadcast of the show. Jason commented – ‘It was all fine. It was like hey I’m not cheap date. I don’t need no man in my life. I don’t need no man.’

Ultimate Poker is a syndicate program, an online platform which hosts weekly tournaments called The Ultimate Poker Challenge with two seasons already completed.

Another poker pro – Joe Cada discontinued his contract with his employer PokerStars after requesting a rake back from the World Series of Poker – WSOP. Following such events, the media began to speculate that players are after the money. Somerville commented this remark: ‘I didn’t want to take…whatever…so we had to do what we had to do.’

Many consider that the increased popularity of Somerville, his character and professionalism, are the reason why Ultimate Poker has not managed to retain Jason’s interest. The company is now going through ‘tougher times on their side’ and shares that things have to change.

Ultimate Poker has had a rough time, starting from its withdrawal of business operations from New Jersey State. It has taken out its Ultimate Gaming from the recently regulated market of the State. This decision was taken after the company was informed that its brick-and-mortar partner Trump Taj Mahal is about to close its door on the 13th of November, 2014. There will be more than three thousand employees out of jobs.

Despite the dramatic end of Season One of Run It Up, Somerville has good news for the fans of the show. There are already plans for a second Season with more than 250 additional shows to be uploaded on the show’s YouTube channel. Somerville made sure to explain that he leaves Ultimate Poker with no hard feelings and feels great for the time he had spent working with them. ‘I am very grateful for Ultimate Poker. We may do things in the future but for the time being we have decided to open our relationship. We may do things in the future but for the time being we have decided to open our relationship.’

Ultimate Poker probably does not share the same warm feelings as it has seen a few of its stars leave it. The operator is now left with pro players Anderson, O’Brien and Esfandiari, which compared to the former party of Somerville, Collins, Hanks, Reynolds and others is a sadly not as grandeur a team.
