The developer offers more than 200 different games, including a great variety of slot machines, video poker, card and table games. Currently, there are several blackjack games that are provided by RTG to players from all over the world.
Almost all RTG blackjack platforms are compatible with both PC and Mac games. There is an instant-play and a downloadable version available for all players who want to try RTG’s blackjack games. The company has made a strong selection of blackjack games, which are appropriate for both beginners and professionals and can guarantee excellent gaming experience.
RTG Blackjack Game Variations
RTG offers a variety of blackjack game variations in order to meet the needs and requirements of its customers. Players can choose from:
Standard Blackjack
This is the traditional game of blackjack. A total of six decks of cards are used, and the main objective of the game is the standard one – to beat the dealer by making a total that is worth as close to 21 as possible without exceeding it.
This blackjack version of RTG is provided in literally every casino that maintains the developer’s platform. Some casinos even offer a single deck and a double deck standard blackjack, which offers the same gameplay except for the number of decks used. In addition, double deck standard blackjack offers no surrender option.
The rules used are the standard ones. The cards are reshuffled after each hand, and the dealer is required to apply the soft 17 rule. Players are provided with the opportunity to hit, stand, surrender, split, double down and make an insurance bet.

European Blackjack
The main difference between the original game and the European version is the fact that the dealer is not dealt their second card until all players have made their decisions. The game is played with six decks of cards.
Most options for the player are left unchanged, but there is no surrender option available. In addition, players are allowed to double down on hands that total from 9 to 11 only.
Faceup 21
This version of the game is very much alike the original one. It is played with eight decks and what is specific about it is the fact that all cards are dealt with their face up, including the hole cards of the dealer.
The difference between the original and the Faceup 21 blackjack version changes the way players make their decisions, as they are able to see both cards of the dealer from the beginning. Another great feature is the fact that players are paid even larger prizes for making a blackjack. In addition, the dealer wins all ties except for the blackjack ones. Doubling down rule is allowed for one hand only, in case that the two cards’ total is 9, 10 or 11.

Matchplay 21
This variation of the game still has the same goal as the traditional version, but all tens are removed from the decks. The game is normally played with 8 card decks that are shuffled after each hand.
The removal of the tens is considered to be beneficial for the dealer, but players are compensated with special payouts in order to neutralize this disadvantage.
Some options that are traditional for the original version are a bit changed here. For example, the player is provided with the opportunity to double down on any number of cards one time only. Surrender option is available, but when doing so after doubling down, the double down portion of bet is lost.
Perfect Pairs Blackjack
This variant of blackjack is actually exactly like the traditional game. The only major difference is the fact that the player is offered the opportunity to also place a side bet called perfect pairs in order to get more winning options.
In order for the player to take part in the perfect pairs bonus bet, they are required to place their bet before the cards are even dealt. Players are given the bonus in case that they get a pair. The dealer’s hand does not affect the perfect pairs side bet in any way.
Pontoon
Pontoon is one of the most popular blackjack variations provided by RTG. No matter that it is a version of the traditional game, it has some distinct characteristics that differentiate it from the standard one.
Here both cards of the dealer are received with their face down, which makes things more difficult for players. This disadvantage is compensated with a larger payment whenever a Pontoon (21) is achieved. The Pontoon is a natural blackjack – a hand that consists of an ace and a ten-valued card.
Another specific thing about this blackjack version is the Five Card Trick, which is regarded as the second best hand. The latter is achieved by getting a hand of 5 cards without going bust.
Super21
This is also a blackjack variation played with eight decks of cards. The game, however, has some distinct rule variations, as blackjack is paid even money except for the cases when it is achieved with all diamonds.
The players are given the opportunity to double down. They are also allowed to use the late surrender rule, as well as the double down rescue. In addition, there is an additional rule that is quite different than the ones of the rest of blackjack variations. The player automatically wins in case that they manage to get a hand consisting of six cards or more without going bust. The same applies to cases when the player manages to generate a hand totalling 21, which consists of five cards or more, as well as to any blackjack that is made without splitting hands.
