The last two years saw many partnership and acquisitions throughout the online gaming industry worldwide. The most recent one being between NetEnt and Betfair. Under the monitoring of the Betfair Group, the two parties settled a mutually beneficial contract last Friday which was officially announced to the general public on NetEnt’s press release later that week.
With that contract, Betfair gets the opportunity to list NetEnt’s online casino games. NetEnt benefits from the partnership by establishing a business collaboration in the UK, which strengthens its presence there, as well as in other countries in Europe.
The Managing Director of NetEnt Malta, in a statement posted on the business’s website expressed his warm welcome to Betfair as their new client, and stated that this agreement will surely increase NetEnt’s direct exposure in the country.
As the agreement is finalized, Betfair can now present NetEnt’s video games in a variety of markets worldwide as NetEnt has licenses in Austria, Spain, Malta, Italy, Gibraltar and the United States. NetEnt was established in 1996 as a pioneer of online gaming design, born of Scandinavia’s major offline casino leaders.
Betfair was founded in 2000 in Hammersmith (West London), and has become the world’s largest internet betting exchange platform. It was enlisted in the London Stock Exchange in 2010 with a stock symbol of BET at a value of $2.3 billion. In 2011 it moved its headquarters to Gibraltar, and is currently operating under a foreign license since then.
Its clientele comprises of close to 1 million energetic clients. The company reported a profit of close to €400 million euro in 2013. Including NetEnt being on its listing, it has Playtech, Cryptologic, Open Bet, Ash Gaming, Blueprint Gaming and IGT as its software supplying partners.
NetEnt has established a few other major deals, such as the one with the video game advancement system company named Odobo. Some of the developers agencies working under Odobo’s management are Trimark (Gibraltar), The Games Company (London), Yoyougaming (China) and Rabcat (Vienna). Odobo was established three months ago, in May 2014 and lists 23 video games.
Net Entertainment has completed other similar projects on the Internet gaming software scene, which were mostly managed by Mr. Green Online Gambling Enterprise.
Other major partnership and acquisition contracts that Net Entertainment signed lately is the one with Bet365 for supplying innovative gaming software. The contract was signed in 2013. Another expansion to its market was the partnership agreement with Game Account Network, an Italian platform supplier.
This April, Net Entertainment signed another agreement with The Rational Group, a worldwide leading online gaming supplier. The deal included Full Tilt Poker which means Net Entertainment now offers this game in its wide range of online entertainment for mobile and desktop devices. In July, NetEnt signed with Bwinparty.com, another major internet gaming company.
