The American Gaming Association ran the Gaming Hall Of Fame event for the 25th time in its history. The event honors those who have contributed greatly to the sports industry during the last year and helped it improve its services towards players, businesses and affiliates.
With only 80 people, who were given an award from this reputable ceremony, receiving recognition in the Hall of Fame is considered of the highest prestige.
The Gaming Hall of Fame has been organized every year since 1989 and has grown in popularity quickly due to the fast pace with which the sports industry has developed for the last twenty years.
It is now considered as the “Oscars” of the gaming industry and the ceremony will be held on September 29th in 6.30 p.m. and will be as part of the major event conference also organized by the AGA. The Hyde Bellagio nightclub will be the location of the massive event and will welcome sports stars and celebrities from the business.
A considerable amount of the money earned during the event will be given to help fight gambling addiction and other gambling related issues at the National Center for Responsible Gaming. The center will spend the money for consultation, rehabilitation, education and scientific research.
Those who are interested in the event can purchase tickets for $500 each or for groups for up to $12,000.
An honoring of four contributing members in the organization will be also part of the event. The chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association – Mr. Stevens Jr., Patricia Becker – one of the first women to join the Gaming Hall of Fame, Jan Blackhurst – a representative of Caesars Entertainment and last but not least Bob Faiss – gaming law specialist.
The American Gaming Association often provides the gambling industry with qualitative research data and also suits as a mediator between competitors when needed. Each May the association provides an annual report on the gaming industry of the country, named State of the States: The AGA Survey of Casino Entertainment.
It includes enormous data research for each of the country’s states about the way the casino industry effects other national and local markets such as the facility construction or gaming equipment and software providers. It provides irreplaceable information gathered from thousands of surveys, question polls and expert opinions on gaming machines, casino games and betting.
It also provides research data on the public opinion for the gambling industry and recommendations on the possible ups and downs the industry may face in the future.
The association has long been the bridge between offline and online casinos but is often been torn between standing behind one or the other sides. This can be seen by the fact that it is both by online and offline casino operators such as Caesars Entertainment and Sands Corporation.
