The authorities of the famous Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa has announced that they have been discussing a new significant project, intended to engage both – professional gambling players as well as people who are not really keen on gambling activities.
However, the new venture shouldn’t be confused with the one, announced a couple of days ago. Shawn Slaton, a CEO professional, said that he was not going to reveal any more details but one thing is for sure – there is a new opportunity for a major step towards attracting people of all ages and of all interests. Currently, he is willing to give more information only about the project that will give 1,000 people a job. The casino floor will be enlarged with more than 300, 000 square feet. The total amount of the expenses for the future Cherokee Outlets were estimated to be $80 million.
Hard Rock has undergone great development and changes during the years. 60, 000 square feet have been added to the complex for two decades.
As a matter of fact, the main reason for the great popularity and success of the Casino was the State Question 712, which legalised the casino activities in Oklahoma. It is worthy of mentioning that the changes have already been put forward even before the voting for passing the new law.
“We gave ourselves a head start and were the first to market with card games, and we’ve just never quit growing” – said Slaton.
But the Tulsa Casino is not the only one that is rapidly growing. The Muscogee Nation’s River Spirit Casino has undertaken a project worthy of more than $300 million. Pretty soon, the visitors will have the chance to make their stay even more comfortable and book a room in a 26 – storey hotel.
Unfortunately, the opening, initially planned to take place in 2015, was postponed with an year due to the fact that a building permission in the vicinity of the Arkansas River is required for starting the project. Although the approval may take a few months, the outcome will be more than outstanding. The two casinos will equally attract professional players and people who just gamble for fun.
Curtis Hickman, who has been working for the Hard Rock hotel for more than a decade, says that the changes he had witnessed were just incredible. For instance, the faculty is 14 times bigger (excluding the future outlet) than it was ten years ago. “We’re basically a small city, with everything you need right here.” – says Hickman and adds that even if he knew what the future plan was, he wouldn’t share it before all the details, concerning the project, are talked over.
However, there is one thing he is absolutely convinced of – there will be a lot of pleasant surprises in the foreseeable future.
