The online social platform application MyVegas has added a new game to its game portfolio – blackjack. MyVegas is owned by Playstudios and MGM Resorts. This partnership allows the users of the online app to earn points, which also give rewards at the offline casino of MGM as well as the Station Casinos.
The CEO of Playstudios shared that the new addition of blackjack to the app has not been adopted well by the players, who are not yet accustomed to a free blackjack game. That, however, did not discourage Andrew Pascal’s developers’ team which embrace the chance to create ‘a category-defining project.’
The blackjack game itself goes with a few themes which resemble the design and brand of the brick-and-mortar casinos of MGM. Some of the themes are named ‘New York-New York’ and ‘Aria’. As all other games offered at the MyVegas platform, Blackjack can be accessed through Google’s and Apple’s mobile operating systems as well as through Amazon devices.
The points earned on any other MyVegas slot game are added to the new blackjack online table.
Another business partnership brings a new social gaming app. The synergy between OpenWager Inc. and USA Today has brought up an online bingo, with a cruise thematic animation. It is called USA Today Bingo Cruise and was launched last Thursday. The online bingo is accessible on iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
As the owners describe it, it has ‘an immersive 3D gameplay experience’, which completely explains the part of the game where players ‘immerse’ under water. Players will be highly interested in the story of the game, which gives them the opportunity to learn and see a number of exotic locations of island ports. That and the fact that the application is protected against the Norwalk virus, were some of the points that OpenWager mentioned while introducing the online bingo.
The recent news of social gaming apps does not stop here. The Nevada-based online gaming operator – Z4 is aiming at the ‘not-at-all’ saturated social networks poker market. The owner of the company explained that their HDPoker will be tested further on it beta mode on Facebook, where it will first have Texas Hold’em and will as well include PLO feature soon.
Z4 is licensed in the state of Nevada, and was established by the offline operator Siena Hotel Spa Casino. The next step of Z4 is, of course, to join the ‘big sharks’ of real-money poker market. These goals are set for a one year period.
And to prove that the social network market is not all ‘a dream of endless revenue growth’ – the gaming developer Rovio Entertainment announced it decided to lay off about 130 of its employees, with the explanation that it is to ‘simplify’ its operations. Rovio Entertainment is known for its famous game app series – Angry Birds.
