The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will once again host the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Championship in Hollywood, starting from the 14th of November, 2014. The series will take more than two weeks to complete and will take place in the ballrooms of the casino. There will be a variety of events – twenty main ones and a few secondary events including the qualifications. What is interesting about this year’s open poker event is that its final series will be broadcast live through online streams and TV. The final event of the RRPO Championship will bring 2$ million guaranteed as prize pool and will begin on the 28th of November to the 3rd of December.
Another interesting part of the series will be the Poker Nights in America, a reality show focused on poker. Nolan Dalla shared that the show has its specific niche as it shows another side of live poker events – the things that happen away from the table which are often times very interesting to the audience. He shared that so far the filming crew has recorded players on a variety of locations while they shared thoughts on poker strategies or simply talked at the golf, the bowling alley, in clubs and dining lounges as well as in front of the White House.
Two sets of the series will be recorded and broadcasted live from the 1st to the 3rd of December. Poker Nights in America will include high prize pool table games when the last series’ week comes. The two episodes will include a pros versus amateurs show match and a “Ladies Night”-themed where the best female poker players will come together to play for the first time in a cash game. The creator of the show Todd Anderson stated that the show has become successful thanks to the devoted film crew and the support of Rush Street Productions in Chicago.
Next Spring, CBS Sports Network will launch a total of 8 episodes of the RRPO reality shows. The exact schedule of the episodes is not yet determined. The finals of the RRPO $2 Million Guaranteed will be streamed live from the websites of Poker Night and SHPRO.
Those ,interested in testing their skills at the tournament, can join the starting flights, which will start on 28th of November. The event will have 30k in-game chips. It will start on the 13th of November with Deep Stack No Limit Hold’Em with starting prize pool of $500k and a $350 buy-in. There will also be No Limit Hold’Em and Six-Max No Limit Hold’Em events with $500k and $75k guaranteed prize pools. In order to participate in any of the events at the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open” Championship, players will require a free Wild Card from the Player Club.
