Bwin.party Starts Talks with Prominent Business Partners

News

bwinparty_18Managers of bwin.party, the popular online platform that offers sports betting and poker services, have announced that they started talks with major companies on the market and the outcome will most probably be a bid for the company.

Bwin.party was established four years ago and was a product, created by the efforts of Bwin and PartyGaming authorities. Despite the fact that the platform became widely recognisable, it has experienced lots of difficulties and setbacks during the years.

The announcement, made by the management, put an end to a great number of rumours and speculations about the future of the website. Some of those who keep an eye on the events in bwin.party, suspected that the pessimistic situation will most probably result in further serious problems with company’s board and sales. However, the announcement made the shares of the company to grow by 11%.

It was confirmed that bwin.party’s managers have started discussions with a few companies that have expressed interest in working in collaboration with them. These companies have probably suspected the potential for future growth of bwin.party and wanted to ensure their stable position on the market.

Although the announcement was made with the aim of stopping the speculations, to a certain extent, it created room for more rumours. More or less reliable sources suggested that the bwin.party managers have started discussions with Amaya Gaming – the Canadian gaming leader that has recently acquired PokerStars and FullTilt.

The significant deal gave Amaya Gaming a chance for becoming a leader in the gambling industry round the globe and several smaller companies regarded it as a huge threat to their survival.

The partnership between bwin.party and Amaya would be really profitable but some market analysts are not too convinced that the expected results will be achieved due to the fact that while the strategy of bwin.party might be appropriate for accomplishing the goals set, Amaya Gaming is still making efforts to popularize PokerStars and Full Tilt, to implement various amenities and make both platforms competitive.

However, bwin.party also has challenging issues to cope with. It was experiencing serious problems with the sports betting branch in Germany. Mr. Batram, a company’s representative, confirmed that the situation in Germany is still unstable. Plus, the matters got even worse when it was announced that new VAT requirements might be implemented in Germany and these changes will automatically reflect on the annual revenues.

Unfortunately, the issue in Germany is not the only one bwin.party has to deal with. The company has troubles with the branch in Greece. The sales also went down.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. The sportsbook is getting more and more popular due to the success of the World Cup.

Along with the discussions with Amaya Gaming, another prominent company was also said to be involved in the matters – the software developer Playtech.

All market experts are impatient to see what the outcome will be.
