British poker player Alex Goulder won the 2014 partypoker World Poker Tour National Prague €2,000 Main Event, held at the Corinthia Hotel in Prague. It took him 115 hands to eliminate his last opponent in an exhausting heads-up play. Apart from his trophy, Goulder was also awarded DNA Monster headphones and the amount of €105,000 of the entire prize pool.
A total of 19 players returned for the last day of the event. It was Simeon Naydenov, a former winner of a WSOP gold bracelet, who held the majority of chips at the beginning.
Vladimir Velikov was the first to be eliminated and he was followed by Manuel Sanchez Morito. Then, Koray Aldemir was sent home by Goulder.
Zo Karim then eliminated Sergej Barbarez and Oliver Heidel. Artur Voskanyan and Vladimir Malak were also sent home and they both took a total of €6,100 for their fourteenth and thirteenth positions. Jean-Philippe Piquette and Salvatore Pepi were the next to go.
Goulder then eliminated Mathias Kürschner and Jonathan Klüpfel and this marked the beginning of the final table. Chris “Big Huni” Hunichen, best known for his online poker achievements, was the first to leave it after he could not hold up with Goulder’s [Ac][As]

Thus, it became clear that Goulder and Adolfsson would face each other for a final heads-up play. The British player started the game with a 2-1 chip advantage. The final hand came with Goulder holding [As][8h]
