Minutes after his victory, Pahuja shared with WSOP representatives that he was extremely happy with his performance lately. He also pointed out that the play at the final table was at a high-level and the other players were quite good but it seems that “it didn’t work out” for them.

The third and final day of the event began with Mike Dentale as a chip leader. A total of nine players sat at the final table. And the first elimination occurred in Level 26 when David Matthews could not hold up against Pahuja. He took the amount of $13,766 for his ninth place.

Then, Dentale was shoved to fourth place by the soon-to-be-champion. Thus, it became clear that Gajan Jeganathan, Toole, and Pahuja would face each other in a three-handed play.

Jeganathan was quickly eliminated by Pahuja and took the amount of $67,006 for being one of the final three. By that time, Pahuja was holding the majority of chips and used them cleverly during the heads-up play with Toole.

It was in Level 29 when Toole moved all in. Pahuja had [5c][5h]
