It was announced that Alabama-based Creek Casino Montgomery is currently undergoing its long-awaited expansion. Its owners will pay approximately $65 million for the renovation.
Jake Carlton, General Manager at Creek Casino Montgomery, shared that they have intended to upgrade the property for quite some time.
After its expansion, the venue will feature a 5-story hotel and a completely renovated gaming floor. What is more, an events center will be launched as well as a full-service reception room. More than 100 new jobs will be created once the refurbishment is finished.
Mr. Carlton shared with media that guests of the venue seem to be really excited about the expansion. He said that they are constantly asking when the construction will be completed.
It was also announced that the upgrade will include three new restaurants and diners. Two of those will be placed in the new building, which is currently under construction. The third one, which is to open doors for visitors on Wednesday, is located within the premises of the already existing building. It is called Lucille’s Eatery and people will be able to taste the delicious burgers that, as managers promised, will be offered there.
Beale Street Blues Co Inc, which is in charge of the Creek Casino Montgomery property, is also planning to launch the so-called B.B. King’s Blues Club and Restaurant. The facility is to feature excellent dining options as well as live music at nights.
Itta Bena is the third restaurant that is set to open doors at some point in future. Apart from the extensive menu, visitors will be offered comprehensive list of various wines. The place will feature a total of 195 seats. The company operates similar facilities in Tennessee and Florida.
Mr. Carlton also shared that the Blues Club will be a bit different from the facility at the Wind Creek Wetumpka Casino & Hotel, another gambling venue on the territory of the state of Alabama. He pointed out that their facility will differ in its seating capacity and it will give local musicians the opportunity to entertain the visitors.
The venue’s manager said that the expansion of the gaming floor will be the first to be completed. It will feature 2,100 electronic bingo machines and a special gaming room intended only for non-smokers.
The five-story, 120-room hotel is to be launched last. Its construction is expected to be completed before January 2016.
As for Wind Creek Casino & Hotel, the above-mentioned Creek Casino Montgomery’s competitor, its casino venue opened doors a year ago. The whole resort represents a $246-million project which also includes the launch of a twenty-story hotel and an expansive parking garage.
