
Seth Stratton is to take the reigns of the casino, which is scheduled to open doors for visitors in 2017. He will be appointed to the position of Vice President and General Council.
The project itself was estimated to cost MGM the sum of $800 million. Stratton will be responsible for the legal matters. He will also have to maintain communications with the government and state’s regulatory bodies. That was the information, revealed by a MGM representative.
Michael Mathis, the current president of MGM Springfield, did not miss to pinpoint the fact that Stratton is a great asset for MGM and the efforts he has been making since the first day he joined the company, were praiseworthy.
Mathis went on to say in a special statement that he considers Stratton’s appointment to be really important for the company because of his experience as a lawyer and his concern about the future development of Springfield and the casino project in particular.Mathis was convinced that the next phases of the project will go smooth and Stratton will play a key role in that process.
In conclusion, Mathis said that it is critically important to hire people willing to contribute to the establishment of the first casino resort in the area and provide visitors with upper class customer service.
Stratton also commented on his appointment and said that he was happy for the opportunity he was provided with. He added that the dedication and professionalism of his co-workers are impressive and he would be glad to be a part of such a great team.
Stratton promised to do his best to make sure that all legal issues of MGM Resorts are promptly and efficiently solved.
He added that he is looking forward to face all challenges and responsibilities the Vice President of such an important company has to deal with.
MGM Resorts was the company granted a license to build a casino venue in Western Massachusetts. Wynn Resorts was given the nod for establishing a casino in the Eastern part of the state. Penn National Gaming was the company allowed to construct slots parlor in Plainville. Investors willing to build a casino resort in the southeastern part of Massachusetts, have the chance to submit their applications no later than January 31st.
