Amaya Gaming Inc. Gets an Award from Cantech Letter for Third Consecutive Year

activity_139458_1402670590Canada-based Amaya Gaming Inc. has been long recognized for its achievements in the gaming industry. It was now awarded from the Canadian technology magazine Cantech Letter for its stars’ great performance over 2014.

The Canadian magazine Cantech Letter in an online magazine, which is focused primarily on technology manufactured and launched on the market by local companies. The magazine was founded seven years ago by Mr. Nick Waddell and as Canadian Business Magazine said, it was regarded as “one of Canada’s premier technology newsletters”.

Amaya Gaming was ranked first in the annual selection of both readers and professional analysts, who honor the best online technology in the region. The company was entitled as the TSX Tech Stock of the year 2014 and got another recognition as one of the most successful companies in the industry worldwide.

In addition, the Chief Executive Officer of Amaya – Mr. David Baazov – was also awarded for his vigor and perseverance and got the first place in the rivalry for the TSX Tech Executive of 2014. He is currently known as one of the youngest Chief Executive Officers in the entire gaming industry.

Baazov was given the mantle of TSX Tech Executive of the Year for his “vision, determination and ability to complete such a transformational acquisition”.

Mr. Baazov himself commented on the award, saying it had been an honor for the company to have been recognized as a leader in this category for three consecutive years. He also added that the award also comes as a proof of the energy and dedication of Amaya’s employees and the stable policy followed by the company’s board of directors.

As mentioned above, Amaya, which is also known for acquiring both PokerStars and Full Tilt in 2014, now gets the award of Cantech Letter as TSX Venture Stock of the Year for third year in a row. It was also ranked first by the technology magazine in 2012 and 2013. The same applies to Mr. Baazov.

The acquisition of PokerStars and Full Tilt was welcomed with mixed feelings by both players and analysts after some problems following the purchase, which took place in the summer of 2014.

Now, apart form the fact that the latter is believed to have been beneficial for Amaya’s overall results and have in the end led to its recognition as one of the the most successful companies in the gaming industry, the Canadian gaming company still needs to do a lot of work related to making their platforms more stable and meeting the players’ demand for excellent poker experience.

The founder of Cantech Letter Mr. Waddell shared his belief that Amaya was worthy of getting the award since they “outperformed the market since going public in 2010”. He also added that the company’s success lies their acquisitions strategy, which had been beneficial for Amaya’s growth over the years.
