The former Chief Technology Officer of the Sweden-based media company Modern Times Group – Mr. Per Norman – has been reported as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the online gambling company Mr Green. Mr. Norman is to succeed the departing Mikael Pawlo at the position.
In December 2014, the former CEO of the online gaming operator, Mr. Pawlo, revealed his decision to step down from the position of Chief Executive Officer by June 2015. He, however, will remain involved with the company.
The Chairman of Mr Green – Tommy Trollborg, commented on the new Chief Executive Officer’s appointment and shared his belief that Mr. Norman’s knowledge of Mr Green will be helpful to the company that is expected to continue its development under its new leader’s supremacy.
As reported by reputable media, Norman is to take the lead over the company after the annual general meeting of Mr Green, which is scheduled for April 23rd. The soon-to-be Chief Executive has a long experience in the industry and has been serving as an advisor to the business for over two years.
Norman has also been occupied at several executive positions. He was a CEO of the Sweden-based TV operator Boxer TV-Access AB, as well as of the SES-Sirius telecommunications operator. He was also a Vice President and CTO of Modern Times Group for seven years in the period between 1997 and 2004.
Over the time spent as a consultant, Mr. Norman has had a bunch of responsibilities associated with the Malta-located affiliates of Mr Green. He also had duties related to the Initial Public Offering process of the online gambling company, when the latter was preparing for being listed on the AktieTorget Stock Exchange in June 2013. The recently-named CEO became one of the company’s directors last year.
Mr. Norman made a statement and shared that he was honored to have been entrusted with the functions of CEO of Mr Green and the expectations of further development. As reported by local media, he said: “I am passionate about our tradition of giving visitors the best gaming experience in the industry.”
The online gaming company, which offers online casino operations, Mr Green was founded in 2007. It is regulated and licensed by the Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LGA) in Malta. The Maltese online casino operator has been recently having some difficulties related to a dispute with the Austrian tax authorities over a tax, which was imposed by the country.
