It has been announced that Totolotek S.A., a subsidiary of the popular Greek gaming company INTRALOT and one of the major betting operators in Poland, has just been granted responsible gaming accreditation by the European Lotteries Association.
The accreditation in question was given as a reward for the successful adoption of the industry standards and Corporate Social Responsibility Framework, implemented in a great majority of INTRALOT Group’s subsidiaries around the world.
The European Lotteries Certification Framework was adopted back in June 2009 and aims at ensuring that operators comply with the legislation of the countries they provide their services in and that they promote responsible gaming.
Totolotek received accreditation after the audit of a prominent audit company, which stated that the operator had managed to meet the necessary requirements along all 11 areas included in the European Lotteries standard.
Adam Lamentowicz, currently taking the position of president of Totolotek’s management board, shared with local media that they are extremely pleased with their achievement. He stated that it mirrors their efforts and enthusiasm. In addition, Mr. Lamentowicz pointed out that this accreditation will have a positive effect on the whole Group’s “competitive advantage”.
The executive also emphasized on the fact that Totolotek is determined to further focus its attention on responsible gaming, as it is believed that it will be a major factor in the sustainability of the gaming industry. What is more, it will make it possible for the companies to create shared value for their customers and for the society as a whole.
Friedrich Stickler, president of the European Lotteries, was also reached to share his comments on the Totolotek’s certification. He said he was particularly happy with the company’s achievement. Mr. Stickler shared that he was perfectly aware of the fact that the operators’ managing team, the Responsible Gaming Department, as well as all their collaborators, put a lot of efforts and energy.
Totolotek promised that it will keep on implementing and promoting responsible gaming strategies. It also plans to develop and improve (when possible) the European Lotteries special framework.
The company will receive its award at a special ceremony that is to be held during a Congress of the European Lotteries in Oslo, Norway.
At present, the European Lotteries Association is the most important organization within the territory of the European Union. Its primary goal is to champion the interests of the licensed lottery operators in the member states and of the gaming industry, in general.
