News

Chad McReynolds was recently appointed as the new general manager of Cherokee Casino Roland. He will be expected to ensure the Cherokee Nation Entertainment’s smooth transition to its new property, which is set to take place sometime in the summer.

McReynolds has a twelve-year experience in the gaming industry. He started his career as a card dealer. Back in 2011, he was appointed as manager of the casino’s operations. His main responsibility in the months to come is to make sure that the casino will be successfully moved to its new $80-million building.

Cherokee Nation Entertainment’s new property spreads over a total of 170,000 square feet. It will probably open doors in May. Spokespersons announced that it will feature as many as 850 electronic games, gaming tables, two restaurants, and a conference hall. In addition to this, visitors will have the opportunity to stay in the 120-room hotel, as its construction is expected to be completed in the next few months.

The transition has created more than 100 new jobs.

At present, Cherokee Casino Roland spreads over a 50,000-square-foot site and features 600 electronic games. It started operating back in 1990 and is said to be Cherokee Nation Entertainment’s first gambling venue.

Mr. McReynolds commented on his appointment in a special statement. He said that he has always found the gaming industry fascinating. He also pointed out that he does not simply love his job at Cherokee Nation Entertainment, but he also highly respects the way the tribe distributes its profits for health causes and the well-being of the Cherokee people.

Mr. McReynolds has been working for Cherokee Casino Roland since 2003. He was a cash dealer, cashier, poker manager, operations manager, etc.

Mark Fulton, COO of Cherokee Nation Entertainment, pointed out that they are looking forward to seeing Mr. McReynolds’ further career growth. He also said that the casino’s new general manager will most definitely contribute to its smooth transition to its new building.

Mr. McReynolds’ appointment comes as a few months ago, Rusty Stamps, the former general manager of Cherokee Casino Roland, stepped down to move to Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, which, too, is operated by Cherokee Nation Entertainment.

The company, which is wholly owned by the Cherokee Nation, one of the three federally recognized Cherokee tribes on the territory of the United States, also manages seven more casinos, three golf courses, three hotels, and various retail entities.
