One of the latest projects of the casino mogul James Packer, Crown Sydney, is expected to open doors for visitors sometime in 2019 and meanwhile, information about the design of the mega resort was revealed.
The property which has been estimated to cost $2 billion, will offer gambling and entertainment facilities of the highest class.
Initially, the top level of the property was planned to be a private penthouse but it seems like things slightly changed and according to the latest information, it will be transformed into a villa hosting the wealthiest players.
The tower where “Sky Villa” and “Super Villa” are to be situated is 275 metre high and the aforementioned suites will take the top four levels. The paperwork released by the Department of Planning clearly shows what the purpose of the top four levels will be and puts an end to the speculations that Mr. Packer was willing to sell the top floors after turning them into luxurious apartments.
Instead, the villas will become a part of the mega resort and the wealthiest visitors will be able to take advantage of their luxurious design and various amenities.
Although “Sky Villa” and “Super Villa” will not be privately run, there still be a sufficient number of private apartments but it became clear that the business partner of Mr. Packer, Lend Lease, will be in charge of some of the apartments.
Actually, the Crown Casino project was befallen by unexpected circumstances related to the disagreements between Lend Lease and the government of New South Wales. The legal battle suspended the development of the project for almost one year.
Now, when the project is advancing, Crown had to get the approval of the local authorities.
It was revealed that the property will be much more spacious than initially planned. The size of the resort will double and the gross floor area was estimated at 77,500 square metres.
As for the parking space, documents show that the area will be sufficient for 500 vehicles owned by guests of the hotel. In order to provide the guests with maximum convenience, Crown is likely to sign share parking agreement with car operators as well.
The hotel accommodation will consist of 323 stylishly furnished hotel rooms as well as 25 villas. The gambling facilities will be situated in the podium. Some players will have the privilege of visiting the “Sky Gaming” private gaming rooms. Players and property guests will also have an abundant choice of dining, entertainment and shopping facilities.
