Day 2 of the APPT Season 9 Seoul KRW3,000,000 Main Event was completed a few hours ago after 10 levels of play. The two starting fields attracted a total of 241 players, of whom only 91 returned for Day 2.

Action started with Takihiro Nakai as the chip leader with 186,700. He was followed by Hajime Iwakura with 153,900 and Hirotoshi Nakabo with 135,200. PokerStars Team Pros Aditya Agarwal, Bryan Huang, and Celina Lin, as well as former APPT Seoul champions Aaron Lim and Chane Kampanatsanyakorn were also among those who returned for Day 2, but they were well behind the chip leaders at the very beginning.

As mentioned above, it took 10 levels and more than 12 hours of play before the day was completed. Day 3 is scheduled to start on April 12 at noon, local time. There are only 13 players left, which means that 4 of them need to go before the final table is set. Apart from his or her portion of the prize pool, the winner will also receive a HKD100,000 entry into this year’s Asia Championship of Poker, which is to take place between October 30 and November 15.

Day 3 of the APPT Seoul Main Event will start with US-based player Jason Mo as the chip leader with 960,000. He is followed by Daniel Demicki from Poland with 792,000 and Chinese PokerStars Team Pro Celina Lin with 540,000. Bryan Huang is the other PokerStars-sponsored player that made it to the final day of the event.

In fact, Jason Mo is a name that many who are interested in poker have heard. The player, who is currently based in Missouri, USA, became quite popular last year, as he finished second in the WSOP $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em – Mixed Max in Las Vegas. There, Mo faced poker pro Vanessa Selbst in a heads-up play, but could not stand a chance against her and received $538,308 for his runner-up finish, which is also his best live cash so far.

The player has one more second place at a 2012 WSOP event, where he cashed $229,722 of the entire prize pool. In October 2014, Mo won the WPT National Philippines $25,000 + 500 No-Limit Hold’em event for $147,180. He also performed quite well in this year’s Aussie Millions Poker Championship, where he finished fifth in the A$98,000 + 2,000 #11 No-Limit Hold’em Challenge and was paid $497,788.

The player has a total of $1,596,041 in live earnings and is currently ranking third in the Missouri all time money list.
