The Dusk Till Dawn Poker Club is once again playing host to the UKIPT Nottingham. Apart from the £1,000,000 Guaranteed Main Event, the tournament is set to feature a number of other exciting events, the two-day £3,000 Nottingham High Roller, which was completed late last night, being among those.

The aforementioned event attracted a total of 51 players and a prize pool of £150,000 was created. It was Argentinian player Ivan Luca to emerge victorious after a tough heads-up play against Matas Cimbolas, who won the £3,000 Partypoker No-Limit Hold’em WPT UK Main Event in November 2014.

Day 2 of the event saw 21 players returning with Felix Stephensen as the chip leader, holding a total of 145,000. He was closely followed by Luca with 122,500 and Ian Simpson with 115,200. Poker pros Liv Boeree, Jack Salter, and Ludovic Geilich were also among those who made it to the final day.

Of all 21 players who returned for Day 2, only 7 were to be paid and the bubble burst when Geilich was eliminated in 8th place. Bryn Kenney, Felix Stephensen, Mitch Johnson, and Tom Hall were the next to go, taking home £7,800, £9,660, £12,600, and £16,300, respectively.

Brazilian player Thiago Nishijima was then eliminated in 3rd place and was paid £21,500 for his efforts. With that said, the heads-up play between Luca and Cimbolas commenced. Reportedly, it took quite some time before the name of the winner was announced. As mentioned above, the Argentinian received the amount of £46,800 and a special trophy. Cimbolas, on the other hand, was paid a consolation prize of £33,750 for his runner-up finish.

So far, 2015 has been quite profitable for Luca. In January, he cashed $77,348 from the FPS Season 4 €1,000 + 100 #1 No Limit Hold’em Main Event in Deauville. A few days later, he finished 5th in the EPT Season 11 €10,000 + 300 #33 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller event, where he received $103,833. In addition, he finished 2nd in the EPT Season 11/IPT Season 7 €10,000 + 300 #53 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller event, where he got his biggest live cash totaling $434,607.

Luca’s earnings from live tournaments now amount to $921,003 and he is currently 5th in his country’s all time money list. Furthermore, he is ranking 226th in this week’s GPI leaderboard update.
