SugarHouse Casino to Host $100,000 Guaranteed Poker Showdown Tournament

Philadelphia-based SugarHouse Casino is about to play host to an exciting poker tournament. SugarHouse 100K Spring Showdown kicks off on Thursday and it is to last until Monday, April 27th.

A number of poker stars will take part in the tournament, including Phil Hellmuth, who has won the record 13 World Series of Poker bracelets.

SugarHouse Casino was the venue chosen for being the place where events, that are part of the TV show “Poker Night in America”, will be held.

Apart from the attendance of Phil Hellmuth, the high-stakes cash games will also include “Ladies Night II” on Live Stream.Since the presence of Hellmuth is considered the most notable one, organizers of the event made sure his fans will not be disappointed.

The poker pro is to play in the Poker Showdown that will feature a $280 buy-in. Besides, his fans will have the chance to get an autograph on April 24th at 6 pm.

This is not the first time when the poker legend appears in “Poker Night in America”, though. In point of fact, it will be his third appearance and he said he was really excited to take part in the tournament and spend some time in Philadelphia and at the SugarHouse Casino in particular. Shaun Deeb, Tom Schneider and Andy Frankenberger are the other PokerStars’ Pros expected to attend the event.

Next Sunday, April 26, the SugarHouse Casino will play host to “Ladies Night II” and the most skilful female poker players including Jamie Kerstetter, Beth Shak and Jennifer Shahade are to take part in the event. “Ladies Night II” is a popular televised cash game exclusively targeting female players.

Organizers have quite successfully prepared a schedule full of exciting poker events and Monday, April 27th, is one of those days, too. Poker Pros will play against the proven poker professionals of the state Frank Olivieri, Geno Vento and Tony Luke Jr also known as the “Cheesesteak Kings” of Philadelphia.

As for the $100,000 Guaranteed Poker Showdown tournament, all players willing to take part in it are free to do that upon paying the respective fee. However, the cash games that are part of “Poker Night in America” are intended for particular players only.

Wendy Hamilton, the general manager of the casino, commented on the matter and said that SugarHouse executives are impatient to host such a prestigious event and are proud of being chosen as the first stop of Poker Night in America in Philadelphia. He added that their state loves winners and the upcoming event will definitely make a new one.
