Generally speaking, the GPI Player of the Year ranks the world’s top performing live tournament players since the beginning of the calendar year. Standings are published every week and are based on the players’ cash positions in tournaments. The events they take part in need to have at least 21 entries and the buy-in fees for those need to be at least $1.
This is the fifth consecutive week that Urbanovich tops the prestigious ranking. So far, the year has been quite profitable for the Pole. Last but not least, he finished 1st in the €200 + 20 No-Limit Crazy Pineapple Turbo for €3,260 ($3,573).
