Although the 2015 edition of the World Series of Poker is currently taking place in Las Vegas, there are a number of tournaments that are set to kick off this week and are worth paying attention to. For instance, Georgia will play host to the WPT National, Manila will welcome the APT, and a month-long tournament is to commence at Wynn Las Vegas. Here are the most exciting poker events to start in the week between June 1-7 as well as a little bit more information about them.
2015 Summer Kickoff
The 2015 Summer Kickoff is scheduled to start on June 1 and will run through June 13. The tournament is to take place at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. 2015 Wynn Summer Classic

Players will be given the opportunity to enter 28 different No-Limit Hold’em events, with the four-day $1,600 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $300,000 undoubtedly being the most exciting one.
The buy-in fees start from $300 and the guaranteed prize pools vary from $25,000 to $300,000.
2015 WPT National Georgia
The WPT National will next stop at the Europe-Bet Poker Room in Tbilisi, Georgia for a four-day Europe-Bet WPT National Georgia $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000. The event is to kick off on June 4. The satellites for it as well as the WPT Georgia Poker Championship kicked off on May 30.
2015 APT Manila
This tournament is set to take place between June 5-9 and the Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel & Casino in the capital of the Philippines will play host to it. Players will be able to enter as many as 10 different No-Limit Hold’em events with buy-in fees starting from PHP5,500 ($361). The four-day PHP27,500 ($1,805) No-Limit Hold’em Main Event will be the tournament’s highlight. It is to start on June 6.
2015 Tournament Weekend $50K GTD
This weekend Dover Downs Hotel & Casino will welcome players for a three-day tournament, which is to feature three different No-Limit Hold’em events. The $165 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $15,000 is set to start on June 5, the $225 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000 is to kick off on June 6, and the concluding $50 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000 will take place on June 7.
