Named after the Kansa Native American tribe, which inhabited the region. According to 2014 data by the US Census Bureau Kansas is ranked 34th in terms of population size and 40th in terms of population density among all states.
At present, Kansas hosts three commercial casinos, on whose reports our analysis is based, and five establishments of Native American type. Four of the Indian casinos are owned and managed by four officially recognized tribes in Kansas, while the fifth establishment is owned and managed by the Wayandotte Nation of Oklahoma.

Table revenue at Boot Hill Casino & Resort declined at a monthly rate of 18.39% in April 2015 to USD 387 776, following an 18.67% gain in March. The figure represented the lowest table revenue since October 2014, when it was valued at USD 292 880. April’s rate of decline, on the other hand, has been the most considerable one since June 2014, when table revenue slipped 25.95%.
Within the period January 2010-April 2015, table revenue at Boot Hill Casino & Resort increased at the most significant monthly rate in July 2010 (98.94%) and dropped at the sharpest rate in August 2010 (-39.78%).
Revenue from table games soared 13.37% in April 2015 compared to the same month a year earlier and 3.83% compared to April 2012. April 2015 figure was a 26.46% decline compared to the revenue level in April 2013.
Slot revenue at Boot Hill Casino & Resort went down at a monthly rate of 8.79% in April 2015 to USD 3.066 million. The latter has been the lowest revenue level since February 2015, when a figure of USD 2.800 million was posted. April’s rate of decline, in addition, has been the least since June 2014, when slot revenue fell at a monthly pace of 3.18%.
Within the period January 2010-April 2015, slot revenue at Boot Hill Casino & Resort increased at the most significant monthly rate in January 2010 (56.45%) and dropped at the steepest rate in September 2014 (-15.41%).
Revenue from slot machines decreased 2.26% in April 2015 compared to the same period a year ago, 3.72% compared to April 2013 and 4.03% compared to April 2012.
Total casino gaming revenue at Boot Hill Casino & Resort plunged 9.98% in April 2015 compared to March to reach USD 3.454 million. The latter has been the lowest figure since February 2015, when total gaming revenue at the casino was reported at 3.201 million. April’s rate of decline, on the other hand, has been the most significant one since September 2014, when total revenue went down at a monthly pace of 14.19%.
Within the period January 2010-April 2015, total gaming revenue at Boot Hill Casino & Resort increased at the most significant monthly rate in January 2010 (57.41%) and dropped at the steepest rate in April 2013 (-15.99%).
Revenue from all casino gaming operations at Boot Hill slipped 0.72% in April 2015 compared to the same period a year ago, 6.95% compared to April 2013 and 3.21% compared to April 2012.

Within the period January 2012-April 2015, table revenue at Kansas Star Casino & Resort expanded at the largest monthly rate in January 2012 (298.81%) and dropped at the sharpest rate in April 2014 (-27.28%).
Revenue from table games soared 54.60% in April 2015 compared to the same period a year ago, 9.20% compared to April 2013 and 26.48% compared to April 2012.
Slot revenue at Kansas Star Casino & Resort decreased for the first time in the past three months in April 2015, down 8.54%, to reach USD 12.962 million. The latter has been the lowest revenue figure since January 2015, when slot revenue was valued at USD 12.493 million.
Within the period January 2012-April 2015, slot revenue at Kansas Star Casino & Resort rose the most in January 2012 (147.70%) and dropped at the steepest monthly rate in April 2014 (-32.85%).
Revenue from slot machines surged 38.27% in April 2015 compared to the same month a year earlier, but represented an 11.62% decline compared to April 2013 and 1.06% decline compared to April 2012.
Total casino gaming revenue at Kansas Star Casino & Resort slid for the first time in three months in April 2015, down 5.57%, to reach USD 15.707 million. The latter has been the lowest revenue figure since February 2015, when total revenue was reported at USD 15.517 million.
Within the period January 2012-April 2015, total gaming revenue at Kansas Star Casino & Resort increased the most in January 2012 (159.02%) and dropped at the sharpest monthly rate in April 2014 (-32.02%).
Revenue from all casino gaming operations rose 40.87% in April 2015 compared to the same month a year ago and 8.24% compared to April 2012. April 2015 figure represented an 8.57% drop compared to April 2013.

Table revenue at Hollywood Casino & Resort rose for a third straight month in April 2015, up 2.35%, to reach USD 1.917 million. The latter has been the highest revenue figure since November 2014, when table revenue was at the amount of USD 1.933 million.
Within the period March 2012-April 2015, table revenue at Hollywood Casino & Resort expanded at the fastest monthly rate in April 2014 (57.90%) and dropped the most in May 2014 (-34.49%).
Table revenue slumped 25.12% in April 2015 compared to the same month a year earlier, but represented an 11.66% increase compared to April 2013 and 0.53% increase compared to April 2012.
Slot revenue at Hollywood Casino & Resort decreased for the first time in three months in April 2015, down 2.28%, to reach USD 10.600 million. The latter has been the lowest figure since February, when slot revenue was reported at USD 10.434 million. In addition, the monthly drop rate has been the smallest since August 2012, when slot revenue went down 2.11%.
Within the period March 2012-April 2015, slot revenue at Hollywood Casino & Resort rose the most in April 2014 (23.08%) and dropped at the steepest monthly rate in March 2012 (-30.46%).

Total casino gaming revenue at Hollywood Casino & Resort fell for the first time in three months in April 2015, down 1.60%, to reach USD 12.517 million, or the lowest figure since February. The monthly drop rate has been the smallest since November 2014, when total gaming revenue at the casino went down 0.83%.
Within the period March 2012-April 2015, total casino gaming revenue at Hollywood Casino & Resort rose at the fastest monthly rate in April 2014 (27.85%) and fell the most in March 2012 (-26.83%).
Total revenue from casino gaming operations slumped 17.28% in April 2015 compared to the same month a year ago, but represented a 13.49% increase compared to April 2013 and 33.90% increase compared to April 2012.
