The 2015 WSOP is entering its final days and as one could expect, all eyes are turned towards Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where some of the world’s best poker players are trying their best to join this year’s November Nine. However, this does not mean that there will not be other exciting tournaments this week. Quite the contrary, The Borgata will host its Summer Poker Open, the annual Larry Flynt’s Grand Slam of Poker is right about to start, and WPT National will go to Brussels for a thrilling Main Event.
Here are the major tournaments that are scheduled to start in the week between July 13-19.
2015 Borgata Summer Poker Open
The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City will host its summer championship between July 14-31. The tournament will feature 23 No-Limit Hold’em, Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. events. The buy-in fees for those range from $230 to $2,500 for the four-day championship. It is scheduled to start on July 26 and entries will have the chance to win their share of the guaranteed prize pool of $500,000. The $400 opening event will also feature the same prize pool. The four-day $300 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000 is also one worth mentioning.
2015 Larry Flynt’s Grand Slam of Poker
Hustler Casino in Gardena, California will play host to the annual two-week-long tournament. It will start on July 14 and will feature 11 No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha events, with buy-in fees varying from $160 to $335.
The six-day $300 No-Limit Hold’em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $400,000 is the tournament’s highlight. It is scheduled to kick off on July 16. The five-day $160 No-Limit Hold’em $250,000 Guaranteed is yet another exciting event that players will have the chance to enter.
2015 bwin.be WPT National – Brussels
The tournament will take place between July 15-19 at Grand Casino Brussels. It will feature 8 different events, with the €750 WPTN Brussels Main Event running from July 16 to July 19.
2015 WPT Choctaw
WPT’s next stop will be at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma. The tournament will run from July 16 through August 4. It will feature 25 No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. events. The buy-in fees for those range from $120 to $3,700 for the Main Event. The latter is to begin on July 31 and will continue up to August 4. It will feature a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million.
2015 Mid-States Poker Tour Iowa
The MSPT will next go to Meskwaki Casino in Tama, Iowa. The tournament is scheduled to begin on July 18 and will end on July 26. It will feature 13 No-Limit Hold’em events with buy-ins starting from as little as $20.
The three-day $1,110 Main Event will kick off on July 24. It guarantees a prize pool of $300,000. The final table will take place on July 26.
