Given the fact that the 2015 WSOP $10,000 Main Event was completed mere days ago, it was not a surprise that quite some movement was seen in this week’s top 100 of the GPI leaderboard. It is topped by Anthony Zinno for a second consecutive week. The player has a total of 3,886.78 points. He is followed by Jason Mercier and Dan Smith with 3,868.99 points and 3,818.38 points, respectively.
It is interesting to note that poker player Blake Bohn from Eden Prairie, Minnesota was the biggest climber into this week’s top 100, after he took 23rd place in the WSOP Main Event for 472.16 points. Currently, he ranks 97th in the GPI leaderboard climbing a total of 90 positions over the past week. The player has collected a total of 2,396.24 points since the beginning of the year. In addition, he ranks 379th in the GPI Player of the Year leaderboard with 965.68 points.
This summer, Bohn, who is a Mid-States Poker Tour Team Pro, cashed in 2 WSOP events. First, he collected $5,447 in the inaugural $777 LUCKY SEVENS No-Limit Hold’em for finishing 66th. Next came his Main Event cash of $262,574. The player took 23rd place in one of the most celebrated events in the world of poker.
Overall, he has cashed in 8 WSOP events since the beginning of his poker career. His earnings amount to $893,109. Previously, the professional poker player collected $208,968 for finishing 15th in the $111,111 One Drop High Rollers No-Limit Hold’em in 2013 and $281,049 for his runner-up finish in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em in 2013 again.
Bohn’s total live tournament earnings currently amount to $2,241,110. He captured his biggest so far live cash in 2013, when he topped the field of the Chicago Poker Classic $3,200 No-Limit Hold’em Championship for $288,171.
As a member of the MSPT Team Pro, the player could frequently be spotted at MSPT events. He has a number of final table appearances and in-the-money finishes at those and has captured one Main Event title back in August 2014. He emerged victorious in the Sioux Falls $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event to scoop the amount of $54,607 of the entire prize pool.
For the time being, Bohn is 2nd in Minnesota’s all time money list and 483rd in the general one.
