After this week’s update of the GPI leaderboard, it could be seen that poker pro Nick Petrangelo continued climbing to enter top 20 and reach his best rank. Currently, the player, who resides in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, is taking 12th place. He climbed thirteen positions over the past seven days.
The player has collected a total of 3,430.29 points since the beginning of the year, following several first places at tournaments as well as a number of final table appearances.
Starting with his latest achievement, Petrangelo finished 4th in the Bellagio Cup XI $10,400 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event to capture the amount of $321,994 – his best live cash so far.
As for his performance during this summer’s edition of the WSOP, the player cashed in as many as two events. In the first place, he topped the field of the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Shootout. The player was awarded the amount of $201,812 and his first-ever gold bracelet. Petrangelo also added $17,282 to his poker bankroll, after finishing 552nd in the $10,000 Main Event.
Overall, the player has cashed in a total of 12 WSOP events since the beginning of his career and has collected $283,076 in those.
Petrangelo also did quite well during the inaugural EPT Season 11/IPT 7 Malta poker festival. There he cashed in two High Roller events. What is more, he was at the final tables of both of them. First, he scooped €205,900 for finishing 4th in the €25,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller. Then he captured €139,000 for taking 6th place in the €10,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller.
The player started the year with two major achievements during the 2015 PCA. He took down the $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo 8-Handed to add $113,853 to his poker bankroll. Petrangelo also finished 6th in the $25,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller 8-Handed and received $301,500 for his performance.
So far, the Massachusetts-based poker pro has collected the total amount of $1,843,345 in various live tournaments. His cash history shows that his first in-the-money finish dates back to 2009.
Apart from his 12th place in the GPI leaderboard, Petrangelo is also taking 8th place in the GPI Player of the Year ranking with as many as 3,277.39 points, collected since the beginning of the year.
