Scott Clements Reaches Highest GPI Rank

The Global Poker Index posted the weekly update of its leadearboard on Wednesday, as it traditionally does. It could be seen that Jason Mercier is at its top for a third consecutive week. He has collected a total of 4,057.41 GPI points so far. The player is followed by Byron Kaverman with 3,987.89 points and Scott Seiver with 3,963.42 points.

Poker pro Scott Clements continued climbing and now ranks 14th, his best GPI rank so far, with a total of 3,339.61 points. In comparison, the player took 22nd place after last week’s update of the ranking.

Clements has proved to be quite a profitable player both online and in live tournaments. His live tournament earnings currently amount to $6,865,786. In addition, the poker pro has captured the amount of $3,715,700 at online poker tables. He can be spotted in PokerStars, Full Tilt, partypoker, and other online card rooms under the screen names BigRiskky, Scott Clements, etc.

As for his live tournament performance, the player has cashed in a number of WSOP, PCA, EPT, and other prestigious events over the past ten years. And he has topped the fields of several of those. His best career achievement was his first place in the 2007 North American Poker Championships C$10,300 Main Event. The player received C$1,456,585 ($1,505,312) for his triumph.

It is important to note that Clements is actually the holder of two WSOP gold bracelets and one WSOP Circuit gold ring. The player won his first piece of WSOP Circuit jewelry in 2005 when he emerged victorious in a $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em event at Lake Tahoe Casino.

Bracelet number one came in 2006. Clements topped the field of the $3,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split event to capture his first piece of WSOP jewelry and the amount of $301,175. He collected his second bracelet only a year later. In 2007, the player triumphed in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event, bagging up $194,206 for his performance.

This summer, Clements cashed in four WSOP events and appeared at the final tables of two of those. He collected $129,235 for his 4th place in the $10,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship and $148,001 for his runner-up finish in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship.

Up to date, the player’s WSOP winnings amount to $2,665,656. And his overall career WSOP and WSOP Circuit earnings total $2,803,438.
