Manig Loeser Wins partypoker WPT National Rozvadov Main Event

The partypoker WPT National Rozvadov €1,100 Main Event held at King’s Casino in the Czech village of Rozvadov was completed last night with German Manig Loeser emerging victorious to capture a first-place prize of $83,600 (€76,000) and the tournament trophy.

The WPT National Rozvadov Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of €200,000 attracted a field of 374 entries. Eventually, an overall prize pool of $401,345 (€362,780) was created. Only the first 45 finishers received their portion of the money, with the payouts starting from $2,235.

The event took place from August 7 to August 10. Its final day saw a total of 22 players returning, all determined to win the title and the first-place prize.

And as mentioned above, it was Loeser who was crowned the tournament’s champion. Many consider the player Germany’s next poker star. Up until his triumph in Rozvadov, the player had a total of $1,469,809 in live tournament earnings. His cash history shows that he has a great number of in-the-money finishes at various prestigious tournaments across Europe.

It is also important to note that the player has been spotted in almost all editions of the annual WSOP since 2010. In addition, he has cashed in a number of Series events since then. However, he has not won a gold bracelet so far. His best WSOP achievement is his 3rd place in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em event in 2014. The player captured the amount of $288,912, his best live cash so far. His career WSOP winnings currently amount to $761,929.

It took about 12 hours before the final heads-up match was set on Day 5 of the WPT National Rozvadov Main Event. Loeser faced Jeffrey Brouwer from the Netherlands. The heads-up started with the eventual champion as the chip leader, holding 7.5 million chips against his opponent’s 3.3 million.

It only took 23 hands before the name of the winner was announced. Hand #298 turned out to be the last one in play. Loeser raised to 300,000 pre-flop and Brouwer called. The flop came [3c][7d][8c]. Loeser then bet 310,000 and his opponent called. The [8d] appeared on the turn. Brouwer bet 450,000 and Loeser raised. The river ran out [2h]. Brouwer moved all-in and Loeser called.

The German tabled [Ks][8h] against his opponent’s [9h][8s]. Both players had thee of a kind but Loeser’s King secured him with the title. Brouwer received a consolation prize of $58,300 for his runner-up finish in the Main Event.

Sebastian Kos from the Czech Republic finished 3rd for $37,400. German Marius Kaiser took 4th place to add $27,934 to his poker bankroll. Belgian Michael Ludovicus Goossens received $20,950 for his 5th place in the Main Event.

David Dolák from the Czech Republic finished 6th for $16,760. Paul van Oort from the Netherlands took 7th place to scoop $14,246 of the prize pool. Czech Andriy Palyuga finished 8th for $11,573. Rounding out the official final table, Markus Hofer from Austria took 9th place and collected $8,580.
