
Russian player Alexander Denisov climbed 55 positions to reach 16th place in the prestigious leaderboard, his best rank so far. He has a total of 2,894.80 points.
In summary, Denisov had several final table appearances in WSOP and EPT events, cashed in 2 Russian Poker Tour events as well as in 2 WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open ones, and performed quite well during the PCA poker festival at Atlantis Resort & Casino on the Paradise Island over the past eight and a half months.
Two weeks ago, the player finished 3rd in the Russian Poker Tour/ WPPS/Turkish Poker Tour €1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event for €28,150. He also took 2nd place in the €3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Superstack Event for €28,800.
During this year’s edition of the WSOP, Denisov cashed in as many as 5 events to collect more than $200,000. He made three final table appearances. First, he finished 6th in the $1,500 2-7 Draw Lowball No-Limit Hold’em event to collect $11,385. Later on, he took 4th place in the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship for $81,865. A fourth-place finish in the $10,000 Limit Hold’em Championship secured the player with the amount of $96,309.
As for his performance during the EPT Season 11 Grand Final in Monte Carlo, Monaco, Denisov made it to the money in 7 events with 4 final table appearances. His best cash during one of the world’s most popular and celebrated poker tournaments was the amount of €48,420 for his 6th place in the €10,200 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo 6-Handed event.
Earlier this year, the Russian was also spotted at the WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. He had two money finishes there to collect a little less than $19,000.
During the 2015 PCA, the player cashed in 3 events. His most important achievement this year was his 1st place in the PCA $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo 8-Handed. Denisov received the amount of $117,250 for his triumph.
The player’s career live tournament earnings currently amount to $1,201,222. He captured his best live cash of $295,920 in January 2014, when he took 6th place in the PCA $25,500 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller.
Aside from his 16th place in the GPI Player of the Year ranking, the Russian is also 69th in the general GPI one with a total of 2,649.04 points.
