A number of poker tournaments are scheduled to start in the week between August 24-30 and all of them promise to be quite exciting. Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, City of Dreams in Macau, WinStar World Casino and Resort in Oklahoma are only several of the casino locations that will play hosts to various poker events featuring large prize pools. 2015 Summer Showdown
Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut will play host to this tournament. It will begin on August 24 and will run through August 30. Its schedule includes a total of 7 No-Limit Hold’em events and the buy-in fees for those start from $120 to $1,100 for the two-day Main Event.
It is to feature a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 and is set to kick off on August 29. Apart from the Main Event, there will also be a number of other exciting ones. For instance, players will have the chance to enter a three-day $400 No-Limit Hold’em event with a guaranteed prize pool of $80,000.
2015 PPC Poker Tour
This tournament will run from August 25 to August 30 at St. Croix Casino & Hotel in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. It will feature 3 one-day No-Limit Hold’em events and a three-day Main Event. The buy-in fees for the regular ones vary from $120 to $200. Players who would like to enter the Main Event will have to pay the amount of $350. It will take place between August 28-30.
2015 HPT Ameristar East Chicago
The eleven-day poker festival will be hosted by Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago from August 27 to September 7. It will feature 8 No-Limit Hold’em events as well as a Pot-Limit Omaha one. The entry fees start from $200 to $1,650 for the five-day Main Event. It will kick off on September 3. The four-day $300 No-Limit Hold’em with a guaranteed prize pool of $100,000 is also among the most exciting events included in the tournament’s schedule.
2015 The River Poker Series
WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma will play host to the tournament. It is to start on August 27 and will continue up to September 8. Players will be given the opportunity to enter 6 No-Limit Hold’em events and a Pot-Limit Omaha one. The buy-in fees start from $300 to $2,500 for the five-day Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $2.5 million. It will take place on September 4-8.
2015 Macau Poker Cup 23
The PokerStars LIVE poker room at City of Dreams, Macau will play host to the 23rd edition of the prestigious poker tournament. It will run from August 28 to September 13 and will feature a total of 17 No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha events with buy-ins starting from HK$1,500.
The seven-day Red Dragon Main Event is scheduled to start on September 5 and entries will be given the chance to win a portion of the HK$5 million guaranteed prize pool. The buy-in for this one is HK$12,000.
