The EPT Season 12 Barcelona €25,000 High Roller was completed last night with German poker pro Martin Finger marching his way through a field of 118 entries to eventually capture the tournament trophy and the amount of €865,900.

The €25,000 High Roller was initially scheduled as a one-day event to take place on August 25. However, there were still three remaining players at 5 am on August 26 and organizers decided that play would resume on Thursday. Aside from Finger, British players Mark Teltscher and Liv Boeree were the other two who returned to set the heads-up play and eventually determine the winner.

A lot could be said about the 25-year-old German. Including last night’s first-place prize, his live tournament earnings amount to $6,356,485. In 2013, he won the EPT Season 10 London £50,000 Super High Roller event for £821,000 ($1,331,171), his best live cash so far. That same year he topped the field of a WSOP event to collect his first-ever gold bracelet. The player is also a former EPT Season 8 Prague Main Event champion.

The three remaining contenders in the Barcelona €25,000 High Roller resumed play at 4:00 pm on Thursday. Finger started the day as the chip leader with 7,640,000. Boeree was second in chips with 3,860,000 and Teltscher was third with 3,700,000.

It was the only female player at the table to leave first. The EPT Season 6 San Remo Main Event winner was eliminated by Teltscher to scoop €391,000 of the prize pool.

The heads-up play started with Finger as the chip leader holding only 100,000 more chips than his opponent. However, Teltscher managed to catch up and even took the lead at some point. It took less than an hour for the eventual winner to be determined.

On what turned out to be the last hand in play, Teltscher shoved all in and Finger called after giving it some thought. The British player, who won the EPT Season 2 London Main Event back in 2005, tabled [9d][Js] against his opponent’s [As][4d]. The flop showed [6h][3h][5h] securing Finger with an open-ended straight draw. The [6s] came on the turn and the [Kh] appeared on the river and the name of the champion was clear. Teltscher took home €586,500 for his runner-up finish.

As mentioned above, the €25,000 High Roller was entered by a total of 118 entries who created a prize pool of €3,724,000. The top 24 finishers received a portion of the money, with the payouts starting from €21,600.

And here are the rest of the players who appeared at the final table and their respective payouts.
