Lifestyle

Given his performance over the past several months, it is not a surprise that American poker pro Kevin MacPhee has continued climbing in the GPI leaderboard. The player ranks 30th after the latest update with as many as 3,178.63 GPI points. His GPI Player of the Year rank is 34th with 2,624.58 points collected over the past nine months.

MacPhee started playing poker in 2006. His first foray into the world of this exciting game was at the tables of online card rooms. He quickly started winning small and not that small amounts of money, until he decided that he should try his luck in live tournaments as well. And the player proved to be equally successful on the felt.

With live tournament winnings of $4,277,738 and online earnings of a little less than $7 million, the Idaho resident most definitely has a lot to boast of. MacPhee could be spotted online under the screen name ‘ImaLuckSac’. As for his live performances, he could be seen at the tables of all prestigious events across the globe. And he has won a great number of those over the past nine years.

It was this summer that the poker pro captured his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet. He topped the field of the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo to collect the first-place prize of $490,800 and the piece of WSOP jewelry that every player or at least almost every player dreams of.

During this summer’s edition of the WSOP, MacPhee also scooped $142,070 for his 4th place in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em. Other notable achievement this year was his 8th place in the EPT Season 12 Barcelona €10,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller. The player added €108,500 ($122,532)
to his substantial poker bankroll.

It is also important to note that MacPhee is a one-time EPT Main Event winner. He won his first and only so far EPT Main Event title in 2010 when he topped the field of the EPT Season 6 Germany €5,300 Main Event. The player collected the amount of €1,000,000 ($1,356,429) for his major triumph. This has been his best live cash so far.

With his long list of live tournament cashes, MacPhee is 1st in the Idaho all-time money list, 104th in the US one, and 171st in the general all-time money list.
