Ukrainian poker pro Igor Yaroshevsky was among the players who moved up in the GPI Player of the Year ranking after its most recent update. He currently ranks 29th with a total of 2,744.48 points. In comparison, the player was 31st last week with 2,513.10 points.
With live tournament earnings of $1,548,180, Yaroshevsky is one of Ukraine’s most profitable and successful poker players. It is also interesting to note that the poker professional has collected most of his winnings over the past nine months.
This year, he was spotted at the tables of WPT, EPT, and WSOP events. In other words, the player has performed quite well in some of the world’s most celebrated poker tournaments.
In February, Yaroshevsky captured his best live cash of $333,680 for finishing 4th in the 2015 L.A. Poker Classic WPT $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championship.
The player also took part in the first edition of the EPT Malta poker festival, which was held at the Portomaso Casino in March. There, he had two in-the-money finishes. First, the Ukrainian captured €1,065 ($1,143) for his 19th place in the €550 No-Limit Hold’em event. Yaroshevsky also collected €102,000 ($111,662) for finishing 7th in the €10,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller.
During the EPT Season 11 Monte Carlo Grand Final, the Ukrainian poker pro topped the field of the €10,200 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo 6-Handed. His triumph secured him with a payout of €218,300 ($247,085).
Yaroshevsky, next cashed in four events during the 46th Annual WSOP. His 85th place in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em Millionaire Maker brought him $11,392. He then finished 18th in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed for $25,022. A 21st place in the $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six-Handed secured him with $19,020. And last but not least, the player received $303,767 for finishing runner-up to Kevin MacPhee in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo. In other words, Yaroshevsky was quite close to winning his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet.
Most recently, the Ukrainian cashed in three EPT Season 12 Barcelona events. He collected a little more than $10,000 during this first stop of the EPT’s newest season.
Given his achievements over the past several months, Yaroshevsky currently ranks 6th in his country’s all-time money list, and 771st in the general one.
