It could be seen from the latest update of the GPI Player of the Year leaderboard that there were not many changes in its top 10. Anthony Zinno ranks 1st for a 12th consecutive week, followed by Byron Kaverman and Nicholas Petrangelo. They all have had quite a successful year so far and therefore, their leading positions are not a surprise.
However, the notable player that will be paid more special attention in this article is Johnathan Little. The Florida-born poker pro climbed 9 positions over the past week and now ranks 62nd with a total of 2,305.93 points. Next he cashed in 2 EPT Season 11 High Roller events in Deauville and Malta. Little was also seen at the tables of the 46th Annual WSOP, traditionally held in Las Vegas. There, the player made 4 in-the-money finishes. His best achievement at this year’s edition of the Series was his 6th place in the $5,000 No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed. Little scooped $85,616 for his efforts.
The player next collected €30,600 ($34,396) in an EPT Season 12 Barcelona event and $14,793 for his 25th place in the WPT Borgata Championship $3,500 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event.

His best live cash amounts to $1,120,310 and he won it in 2008 for topping the field of the WPT Mashantucket $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championship Event.
In fact, this was Little’s second WPT title. He won his first one in 2007 for emerging victorious in the WPT Mirage Poker Showdown $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championships. Apart from the tournament title, the player also captured the amount of $1,066,295 for his triumph.
