Developer and provider of online casino solutions NetEnt announced that it had penned a license agreement with New Jersey gambling operator Resorts Casino.
Under the agreement’s terms, the Swedish gaming supplier would provide the Resorts Casino and Mohegan Sun Internet casino brands with a selection of its most popular games. Mohegan Sun, operated by Connecticut’s Mohegan Tribe, is one of the largest gambling venues in the US. Earlier this year, it commenced online gambling operations in New Jersey through a license with Resorts Casino.
NetEnt has submitted an application for a transactional waiver from the state Division of Gaming Enforcement in order to be able to launch its gaming titles in New Jersey with the Resorts Casino brand, while the company’s application for a full operational license is under review.
Commenting on the latest partnership Björn Krantz, NetEnt Americas LLC Managing Director, said that he is very pleased with the opportunity to work with the Resorts Casino online brand. According to the executive, the agreement is indicative of the confidence and trust New Jersey operators have in the Scandinavian gaming supplier.
Mr. Krantz further commented that he believes both Resorts Casino and Mohegan Sun together with their gambling customers will enjoy the selection of gaming titles and gaming experience they will be provided with.
Mark Giannantonio, CEO and President of Resorts Casino, said that they are delighted with the opportunity to add NetEnt online casino titles to their product offering. The executive noted that the games perform quite well in a number of other markets and that he and his colleagues are confident in their success with New Jersey-based gambling customers.
Mr. Giannantonio also said that Resort Digital Gaming, known to be Resorts Casino’s Internet gaming division, has had quite exciting few weeks and the integration of NetEnt games into their existing gaming platform would further strengthen the gambling operator’s product offering.
Earlier this week, NetEnt announced that its online casino games have been successfully integrated and have gone live with the bwin.party and Borgata brands in New Jersey. The company was granted transactional waiver by the state gambling regulator, while its application for a full gambling license is under review.
