David Diiorio Wins 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Harveys Lake Tahoe $365 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo

The one-day $365 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo or Event #11 on the schedule of the 2015/16 WSOP Circuit Harveys Lake Tahoe was completed late last night. David Diiorio from Placerville, California won the tournament to collect his second gold ring and the amount of $10,583.

The $365 No-Limit Hold’em attracted a field of 126 entries and a prize pool of $37,800 was generated. However, only the top 15 players received a share of the money. Payouts started from $638.

Yesterday’s event was the second Turbo one on the schedule of the Harveys Lake Tahoe Circuit stop. The first such tournament was completed with Bill Davis emerging victorious over a field of 111 players to collect his first-ever gold ring and the amount of $9,989.

The final table of yesterday’s tournament was reached in Level 17. Nine-handed play began with Marcus Laffen as the chip leader, holding 308,000 in chips. Diiorio entered the final table as the short stack with only 40,000 in chips. However, he managed to defy the odds and eventually capture the gold ring and the first-place prize.

Kirk Wilson from Henderson, Nevada was the one whom Diiorio faced heads-up. The player could not hold up against his opponent and had to settle for the runner-up finish and the amount of $6,542 of the prize pool. This was Wilson’s first WSOP-related cash.

Nathaniel Anderson from Kensington, California, too, scooped his first-ever WSOP Circuit cash for finishing 3rd in last night’s event. His payout amounted to $4,722. Robert Gallina from Carson City, California took 4th place to collect $3,470. William Schrader from South Lake Tahoe, California finished 5th in the tournament for $2,594.

Craig Gold from Belmont, California was paid $2,594 for his 6th place. It is interesting to note that the former gold ring winner has cashed in six events since the beginning of the Harveys Lake Tahoe Circuit stop. What is more, this was his third final table.

Steve Kujubu from Sacramento, California took 7th place last night to collect $1,524. Japanese Mari Fukunaga finished 8th for a payout of $1,198. Rounding out the final table, Marcus Laffen from Cupertino, California took 9th place in the event to scoop $956 of the entire prize pool.
